Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are celebrating their recent engagement with the release of their official portrait photographs.
The couple looks royally in love in the stunning snaps shared by Kensington Palace on Thursday.
In the first photo, Meghan leans on Harry’s leg as they pose on a set of stairs, the actress wearing a black gown and the royal sporting a blue suit. They hold hands, with Meghan showing off her engagement ring for the camera.
The second image in black and white shows the duo nuzzled in close together and laughing. Harry appears to be wrapping his jacket around his bride-to-be.
“It was an incredible honor to be asked to document this wonderful event, but also a great privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple’s love for one another,” Lubomirski said, according to a statement from the palace. “I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took of them, such was their happiness together.”
And in a candid third photo, the happy couple walks hand-in-hand around Windsor.
“As a way to say thank you, they have decided to share this candid photograph from the day of their portrait sittings directly with all of you,” Kensington Palace said in a statement. “The couple are so grateful for the warm and generous messages they have received during such a happy time in their lives.”
The release of the photos comes just one day after Meghan joined Harry and other senior members of the royal family for Queen Elizabeth II’s annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace. Meghan will also travel to Sandringham with Harry to join the royal family for Christmas.
